‘Unreal Estate’ is a fictional agency that offers services for tricking satellite and aerial surveillance and concealing property from them. High-resolution satellite images are increasingly available, shifting the definition of personal privacy. Where you live and what you own becomes visible to police, banks and insurance companies, or anyone who has access to Google Maps. Anastasia Kubrak offers individuals the means to respond and embrace surveillance: now they can fake or hide their wealth and property. The products are based on military camouflage and deception technologies and appear completely realistic on satellite imagery.
