The world as a canvas

The world as a canvas

For Thomas Trum, public spaces are often unnecessarily anonymous and forlorn, with many a random wall crying out for some care and attention. Trum knows this at first hand – he spent three months driving around the Netherlands in search of these forgotten spots. Armed with white overalls and a van full of paint, he applied splashes of colour wherever he could, transforming even the blandest surface into a bright canvas. β€œIt’s a way of giving such places an added value and helping people to experience their surroundings in a new way,” he explains.
