Wildlife by Marjolein Fase

In Wildlife, I translate the wild growth in my own head and in the zoo into objects in a Dutch garden. On the Rocks is an island where I can get lemonade from a tap in the shadow of a conifer tree. Animal Plastics are my little darlings that did not want to be tools any more. They came to life as I was looking at their big brothers and sisters in the National Geographic.

Their shapes were wobbly and imperfect perfect to me. I wanted to feel and caress them out of the drawings into my head, they moved with wild moves colours so bright, they were just right.
