Digging by Frederiek Hamers

I dig a form in the sand with my hand. Then I pour plastic into it, and wait a few minutes… and I lift my piece of furniture up out of the sand. The form of the trenches I dug are invisible until I have lifted out the hardened plastic. The directness of the act of digging is expressed inthe form and the pieces offurniture are a product of the possibilities I had at hand: digging trenches no longer than my arm into a gigantic sand mold.
