Maya Zimmermann employs the following reasoning as her starting point: to make mass production in the garment industry profitable, variation in sizes has to be kept to a minimum. But that results in clothes that never fit properly. “And then you’re standing in the fitting cubicle and think that something’s wrong with your body,” says Zimmermann. The solution: make the clothes fit you. This is how it works: with the help of a 3D scan of your body, a personalised cardboard tailor’s dummy is made. Any clothes that do not fit well can be adjusted on the dummy. No Size / My Size makes it possible to make fashions fit you and not vice versa.
